ACT Transitioning to an Open-Source Model

The ACT Global team has partnered with the Digital Initiatives Group (DIGI), based at the University of Washington. This group specializes in developing health information systems with open-source software. With their expertise, we will transition ACT to an open-source model that can be hosted locally by partnering countries.

This transition is set to be occur in early 2027. It will include features like interoperability, customization, and configuration. These features will allow ACT to connect with existing electronic health records, be modified to fit site preferences for RHD tools, and be personalized to maximize the user experience.
